Study of movement

Let's talk about shoulder freedom

Through the horses' movement, the muscles increase greatly
in size. If the shoulder muscles do not have enough space because the saddle is interfering, the rear of the saddle will
torque causing it to move from side to side. A gullet-steel
in front of the saddle tree that is too long and straight is the
main cause of this. In extreme cases, the saddle may shift
across the spine.

A poorly fitting saddle causes back problems to many horses, including injury to the spine, tight muscles,
and damage to vertebrae.

The horse feels the poorly fitting saddle restricting its movement, and is unable to move in its normal way.

The saddle makes sideway movements for it own.
(pict. below)

Every horse is anatomically different in the shoulder region
which is very important in saddle construction.

Depending on the type of withers the length of the gullet steel
is variable. Therefore we have five different types of length
in our workshop:

Short, normal, middle, long and extra-long.
